Remember that crazy weekend I said was coming?
+Night One
Friday Night Wedding in "Hawaii," Missouri
Getting ready with Aunt J:
Good weather for a sunny drive!
It took a little over half an hour to get there - which was officially Nova's longest car ride so far!
having fun with Aunt J in the backseat! :)
Sleepy Nova!
happy family!
Nova doesn't like sitting down for too long...
Aunt J, Uncle Ry, Mom, Nova, Dad, and Aunt Han :)
Nana Nea and Poppy J
+Reception
Nova had a blast - she was wide awake the whole time, listening to the music, watching the lights and ALL the new people!
She even met another baby!
Here are some shots of the partay:
Uncle Ry was the minister of the night - this was the second wedding he's officiated!
Daddy Drew and Mom's was the first. Contact if you need his services!
He is legally ordained. :)
Mom and Dad having a little baby break while Nova explored!
Nova says it's time to go!
What a fun night!!
+Avocado
As promised, mom got that food processor ASAP.
We decided to start with avocado - it doesn't need to be cooked before feeding to the babe (Mom has been doing heavy research - she is going to make all of Nov's baby food at home with all natural ingredients). We just put it in the processor and got a nice pasty consistency.
Here is Nova's first bites of food with ZERO formula (we mix formula with her rice cereal):
She didn't like it much - but we will try again!
It would be very strange indeed to taste that after such a bland diet.

+Meeting the Great Great Auntie
We went to Great Granny and Grandad's house on Saturday and met mom's Great Auntie M (M for Martha!) and Great Uncle Dave. It was their first time seeing Nova in person!
Great-Great Auntie!
the whole crew
After a quick visit from Grandpa Barko, we rested up on Saturday night for the Easter festivities on
+Sunday!
It was a BEAUTIFUL day! And - exactly one year prior - we found out I was pregnant with Nova!

Nova was SO good this weekend.
She's such a good-tempered, happy babe.
We love her very much.
What a busy few days!
Now Dad's back to work - at his new job! We hope he likes it!
This week should be fairly quiet, but then again, you never know with a babe around. :)
Stay tuned for more eats (squash next!) and more fun.
<3
Good luck to Drew today!! That's so exciting. And tell Nova that avocados are best served with chips, salt&pepper, and a margarita!
