Sunshine, Celebrations, and Finding Herself in the Mirror :)

We had a busy weekend!

Dad had 
+Friday 
off, and we had a few moments of nice, sunny weather - Dad got his mandolin and outside we went! ---- With her shades on, of course. :)

Nova came along on a drive through the park, and then, of course, to Target. :)


+Saturday
We started working on a project for Grandma Deb's birthday gift - we found some non-toxic paint and brushed it on her little feet to stamp around a picture frame!
-Even though it was safe paint, Mom still immediately washed it off after each color. HA.
It turned out great! :

+New Dresser!
Then, Nana Renee and Poppy J brought over Nova's new dresser!
(The girl has a lot of clothes.)
A SPECIAL THANK YOU to both of them!
Nana Renee found the dresser and did the yellow drawers, and Poppy J painstakingly painted the white. It looks awesome - we really appreciate it!

+On Saturday evening,
 we went to Red Lobster to celebrate Grandpa Tim's birthday with Michele, Great Aunt Kim, Great Uncle James, Uncle Ry and Aunt Han, and Aunt Holly! 

We had a 40 minute wait - and then we were there for an hour and a half - and Nova didn't cry once! She just sat quietly the whole time, observing. What a good babe!

+Funny Story...
While we were outside waiting, an elderly lady came up and said, "Oh, how cute! How old is he?"
He.
Mom quickly corrected her (nicely!) even though Nova was wearing PINK pants! :)

But the best part is...
A little later, at our table, the SAME elderly lady came up and said, "Oh, how cute! How old is he?"
Oh boy. 
She was sweet.
Ha!

+Sunday
Mom brought out the full length mirror so that Nova could check herself out... it was hilarious.

+New People

At the GrandScan's, Nova finally met her Great-Uncle Clark!

Also, she met good friends of the family, Dave and Doris. :)

Until Krista said something on Facebook, I hadn't really noticed that Nova is starting to take on some of Dad's features - she's a good mixture now! At first, she was Mom's spitting image. But check this out - side by side of Dad and Nova:

+Toe Grabbin'

Nova finally found her feet. It's pretty funny to watch - she won't look at them, but rather will wave both arms and legs until they meet eachother and she grabs hold.

See that face? She's started sucking her bottom lip in. She looks like a much more adorable version of the Bitter Beer Face...

Ha. Oh, baby.
